Take pity on the ignorant
for they don’t see the light
slaves to Satan kept in darkness
no wisdom which to fight

living day to day in their sins
not understanding grace
bound to a date of destruction
headed for the wrong place
____
all because they’ve not heard good news
that Jesus Christ can save
redeeming man from all his sins
living beyond the grave

through the blood that has been purchased
sacrificed in your stead
is able to resurrect you
raising you from the dead
____
and God gives opportunity
to every one who lives
in choosing Him as their Savior
accepting what He gives
____
but too many are ignorant
not having any clue
who Jesus is or what He’s done
not learning of the truth
____
look upon those still in darkness
where ignorance rules man
and promote the gospel of truth
whichever way you can
